you will need to make a simple matte tape mod to help you get the shot). We love capturing light rays, but any dome housing is prone to reflections, if you have a reflective lens or surface (such as the back of your phone - especially if it is white.

The biggest tip that any professional will tell you, is to avoid shooting directly into the sun.

If you're ok with skipping the 4K EIS, 1080p 240fps, get the Hero 5 which is significantly cheaper. There are several shooting tips you should keep in mind to help you get that perfect eye-catching split shot! A dome port is a highly reflective surface and you need to keep a few things in mind in order to capture the perfect content without any reflection. Overall, if you're looking for the best action camera that (a lot of) money can buy, look no further. If you're looking for smooth video with a cinematic look, the Karma Grip offers stability in a way that no electronic or optical image stabilization can match. The built in sensors and three motors (one each for three axes) smoothen out any shakes very effectively. Since it only works with the GoPro Hero 5 or 6, there is no balancing or adjustment needed - just place the GoPro in the harness and power it on. Karma Grip comes with a built in rechargeable battery, camera controls and a camera harness that securely holds the camera. While the Karma Grip has not been officially launched in India yet, it is available to buy locally for about Rs 25 to 30k. The camera was supplied to us with the Karma Grip, a 3-axis motorized stabilizer (gimbal) designed specifically for the GoPro Hero 5/6. Battery life is the weak point here so you may need to invest in a couple of extra batteries. The video quality is the best we've seen yet from an action camera and it even manages decent night time quality - typically the weak point for the smaller sensors in these cameras.

It works fairly well to smoothen out light jerks caused by normal movement. The EIS sacrifices about 5% of the field of view on all four sides in return of smoother video. It can go up to 4K 60 fps and super slow motion 1080p video Note that the EIS can work in 4k resolution but only up to 30fps. Some of the features available include GPS, 12MP still photos, burst photo, time-lapse, video recording in 720p, 1080p, 1440p, 2.7k and 4K resolutions. Oh and that annoying sound of wind rushing by (if you have it on a moving vehicle, for instance) is automatically suppressed. Three microphones placed around the device record good quality audio - this was the main problem with using housings in earlier GoPro models - the watertight housings meant that good audio recording was not possible. It has voice control, so you can start/stop recording or capture photos without fumbling with buttons or pulling out your phone. It has built in waterproofing (can be submerged up to 33 feet) though deep divers will need to get the dive housing. You can control it via the GoPro app and use the QuikStories app to auto-edit clips based on information from the camera's sensors. In particular, we quite like the rubberized, antislip finish. It's still unbelievably tiny, light and compatible with most existing mounts/accessories. The company claims an overall doubling of performance, mostly thanks to their own, custom design GP1 chip (they used to use off-the-shelf components earlier). But there are upgrades: the new GP1 processor (enables 4k video 1080p 240fps), better electronic image stabilization (the EIS also works in 4k now, as opposed to 1080p on the Hero 5), better low light performance, faster 5Ghz WiFi transfers, a more efficient H.265 codec (smaller file sizes) and a brighter, more responsive screen. It looks very similar to the Hero 5 - it even has the waterproof design. In terms of absolute specifications, features and performance, the Hero 6 Black is the device to beat as far as any action camera maker is concerned. The Hero 6 is the company's latest and greatest, retaining all the core properties and rugged construction that make these action cameras so popular while adding several new features and capabilities.

That's why it's hard to argue with the compelling argument that GoPro has built over the years, spawning a massive, global accessory ecosystem and a wide variety of clones and knock-offs. If you're an adventure enthusiast, having a tiny, rugged camera that you can mount anywhere has its advantages.
